1. Power On and Air Supply
1.1 Connect the air supply. (Ensure the air source is dry and adequate.)
1.2 Adjust the pressure gauge so that the air pressure meets the required range for nailing.
Main air source regulator: adjust pressure to 0.65-0.8 MPa.
1.3 Close the circuit breaker and turn on the power switch.
2. Specification Adjustment
Adjust the mold and nail gun positions according to the actual required pallet dimensions. The mold and nail gun positions near the electrical cabinet should not be adjusted whenever possible. Specification adjustment steps:
1. Loosen the fastening screws on both ends of the mold, move the mold to the desired position, and ensure the mold remains vertical and not skewed.
2. After the mold position adjustment is complete, tighten the screws.
3. Place the stringers into the mold and press the wood clamping button to clamp the stringers. At this point, the stringer clamping base plate positioning rises. Place the bottom deck boards into the mold.
4. Turn the gantry selector switch on the main electrical cabinet to Manual mode. On the panel, press Gantry Forward to move the gantry until the nail gun is close to the pallet edge. Loosen the top tightening screws on the upper and front parts of the nail gun mounting plate and the top tightening screw on the nail coil plate. Adjust the nail gun position and nail coil plate position so that the nail gun nozzle is aligned with the center of the pallet stringer, then tighten the screws.
5. Adjust nail gun height:
(1) Loosen the handle bolts on both sides of the gantry. Use the crank tool provided at delivery — clockwise to raise, counterclockwise to lower. Adjust until the nail gun guard plate is close to the pallet bottom deck board. After adjustment, retighten the handle bolts.
(2) If the nail gun still cannot reach the required position even after being raised to its highest point, adjust the top bolt of the nail gun mounting plate — clockwise to raise the nail gun, counterclockwise to lower it. After adjustment, tighten the locking screw.
Note: After the nail gun adjustment is complete, move the gantry forward and backward one full cycle to check for any interference between the nail gun, nail guide slot, and the mold.
(1) Turn the selector switch on the operation panel to Auto mode. Press "Nailing Servo Return to Zero". After the gantry returns to zero, position the top deck boards, then press the "Nailing Start" button on the gantry to begin operation.
(2) During nailing, if an unexpected situation occurs, press the link rod at the front of the gantry for an emergency pause. After handling the issue, press the reset button, and the machine will resume operation.
(3) If the emergency stop button is pressed, after resolving the issue, the gantry must be returned to zero again and the pallet must be restarted from the beginning.
3. Parameter Adjustment
3.1 Adjust the nailing positions and nailing intervals based on the top deck board width.
3.2 Fix the sensor plates at the corresponding positions where nailing is required. Each time the gantry reaches a set position, the U-shaped photoelectric sensor detects the sensor plate and the nail gun automatically fires.
3.3 Set the stacking quantity (define how many pallets per stack).
4. Equipment Operating Procedure
After completing specification and parameter adjustments, proceed with pallet production as follows:
4.1 Connect the air supply and turn on the power.
4.2 Check the touch screen for any alarms, and return the equipment to zero.
4.3 Place the stringers in position and press the wood clamping button — stringers are clamped, and the bottom deck board positioning cylinders rise.
4.4 Place the bottom deck boards, press the start button to activate the equipment — the nail gun descends and nailing begins.
4.5 After nailing is complete, the nail gun automatically rises and the gantry returns to its home position. Flip the pallet and press the material pressing device button.
4.6 Place the top deck boards and press the start button — the nail gun descends and begins nailing the top deck boards.
4.7 After top deck nailing is complete, the gantry returns to home position and the pallet is automatically pushed out. Pallet production is complete.
For operational convenience and improved production efficiency, the equipment is equipped with two sets of button systems, allowing the operator to work from different positions. Both sets of operation buttons have the same functions.
